It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business, maybe you want to work behind a desk but Ashlie decided at a very early age that she wanted to ”Be Known” as an artist, of sorts.
Through her love of performing arts and sports her destiny led her to combining her skills and become Actor, Stunt Performer, and an International Professional Athlete.
Steering away from hard life, Ashlie was introduced to horses by her grandmother at a young age in Burbank, CA. In awe having daily rides near the back lots of the largest film studios of Hollywood with access to a dozen different horses through a local barn owner she was hooked.
Working her way through the ranks in the horse world she became a top travel-assistant and exercise rider “morning jockey” in the horse racing industry. Learning discipline, hard-work, and dedication to herself, sport and peers, so much that even after an ICU horse incident she returned to the sport because her dreams were not yet done. After adversary she continued her journey to gallop 23 Breeder’s Cup horses and 1 Kentucky Derby horse.
Her dreams in the film industry came to fruition; performing stunts for popular streaming network TV shows and commercials utilizing her athletic abilities while bringing the love of both martial arts and horseback riding to character. She was able to work behind the scenes eventually leading her to acting classes and special training for stunts.
Through the racing world Ashlie was introduced to Alliance San Diego to study Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor Johnny Faria. With very little history in martial arts but the idea of becoming a professional MMA fighter, she indulged full force. Committing to practice 2-3 times a day while commuting 40 minutes each way, nothing could stop the drive she carried. The fuel to the fire is her saying, “If I can get double-barrel kicked by a racehorse, I can be a champion”.
Little did she know, almost two years later to the date and immediately after successfully securing her first lead role, her rising world would come to a stop. Ashlie faced her second ICU racehorse injury where she mentally had to face the forced time off and being dropped on her first big lead role. Life halted as she had to allow her body to rest and heal.
Her saying never leaving her mind. Instead of steering away, she not only chose to prevail but now enjoys the racehorses as a freelance rider and is fully immerse into her training. What she didn’t know in those dark days - was what doors would open in the Martial Arts world.
While healing from surgery her Head Striking Coach and now husband - Joshua Fishman established her fundamentals in striking. Working out in her garage, then venturing outside and into the gym setting again, to eventually landing in their own gym, 360 Combat and Recovery based in Carlsbad, California.
What was once looked at as taunting training actually helped establish slowing down and building a strong fundamental base. As her healing increased so did her technique. Eventually adding MMA coach Jake Hesselgrave of Saber Martial Arts and CAS Style Coach Zac Savage from Premier to the roster she now has a power house team behind her.
Currently the Cali Muay Thai IKF 125lb Campion & Team USA WBC Muay Thai Pan-American, Monterrey, Mexico Bronze Medalist , & Team USA WBC Amazing Muay Thai Festival, Verona, Italy Bronze Medalist. the accolades are just beginning.
With just under 20 fights, 2026 looks to be the year where her name will be known as she immerses not only in Semi-Professional Muay Thai but will debut into the cage to compete MMA.
